Looking at it from brighter perspective, at least you’re having these feelings at twenty-eight years old. How do you think you’d feel if you suddenly realized you weren’t doing anything you wanted to be doing if you were, instead, thirty-eight? You’d be all, “Dammmmmiiiiiiiiiiit! I’m THIRTY-FREAKING-EIGHT! Why did it take this long for me to realize this crap!?!?!?!?”Not that that was me or anything. I think I was thirty-three. Still, the job sucked, and even after several years of concerted effort and some big changes, there are still days I when feel the feelings you’re describing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this review. And Pat Monahan (lead singer of Train) DOES wear ridiculously tight pants. When he played the venue I work at a few years back, my coworkers wrote a song about him - it’s really, really entertaining.

LOL - the last time I was at my dentist’s office, I was getting a couple cavities taken care of and my dentist said something along the lines of “can’t you open up any wider?” He proceeded to tell me that my jaws seemed tight and asked if I had any jaw pain, because I couldn’t open my mouth up very far. I was beyond mortified that I kept snickering despite the equipment in my mouth!

Oh my gosh, I love this post! Relatable on so many levels, I remember seeing Bush in 1997 and getting dressed up in a ridiculous outfit, braving the mosh pit with my girlfriends and screaming our heads off for the love of Gavin :-DI found you through your comment at Peanut Butter Fingers concert post today - look forward to reading more! Funny thing… I have a box of penis straws that I totally intended on bringing to the shower, since Murph didn’t want them involved in the bachelorette party. I forget them. They are now packed in a box somewhere in anticipation of moving. So sad. P.S. Your parents are awesome!

Did you go into the temporary museum down there? It’s impossible not to cry while you’re in there. I especially lost it at the 1000 paper cranes hanging from the ceiling that Japanese school children had made and sent as a sign of goodwill.
