Rusty Blog Skills…

I need more boy friends.
Note the space.

In high school, I had my bros, and I had my hos.  The bros were an integral part of keeping [most of] my sanity throughout those formative years.  Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing like the company of women, the comraderie, the ya-ya sisterhood and all that.  I just can’t be around all women, 24/7, because I will eventually feel like I don’t belong – I will undoubtedly end up asking myself why I don’t get excited over china patterns.  Since living in Indiana I have attempted to replace my high school boy friends, but there is no equivalent to scratching my hypothetical balls with Matt, Stadt, and Jeffy while watching the Pistons in the playoffs.

This Saturday, I was at a day-party of sorts at Jana’s and could not get one person to fall in love with me.  It drove me crazy.  (See ”Leo”: extroverted, attention-seeking?)  When I’m thrust into a social scenario where I know only the host, I consider it my mission to make at least one person fall in love with me - not in the sense of true-blue romantic love, but a connection, a harmless crush.  Man or woman, doesn’t matter - I need to walk away from the event knowing I had that one moment, with one person. At the very least, someone I can Facebook when I get home.

My boyfriend should be the one to handle the attention giving but he’s hardly ever home and let’s face it, I’m high maintenance when it comes to being entertained.

This entry had no point….

…. YA-YAAAAAAAA
