I needed a pair of comfy, yet cute, shoes to wear on the plane tomorrow. (Sidenote: I’m going to San Francisco tomorrow! Weee!) I know, there’s a whole thing about being “comfortable” on an aircraft, but I travel infrequently, so I like to look fabulous while I’m doing it.  I don’t feel like a sexy traveller in my boxy Nike crosstrainers.  So I turned to Zappos.  There’s this brand called “Sugar” that makes all these cute boots.  I want to collect them all, but decided on these…

Then the fun begins, as I become OBSESSIVE about TRACKING MY PACKAGE. I love living in a day and age where not only can I find cute things and  send them to my doorstep , but I can TRACK said cute things on their perilous journey through the united parcel service.  I don’t know why this is such a thrill for me, but it is.  As soon as my status changes to “shipped,” I check its progress more than I check Facebook (which, holy hell, that’s a lot).

OMG, it was in Louisville at 3:42 PM! It arrived in Indianapolis at midnight and was out for delivery at 4:50AM! DELIVERED AT 1:40PM OMG IT’S AT MY APARTMENT RIGHT NOW! SQUEEEEEEEE.
