I’ve decided that I have to start blogging every day if I ever want to become Carrie Bradshaw. (yes, become – like I’d actually turn in to her – bone-thin, smoking. I do have the contemplative look down.  And the incessant questioning.) I realize I got through the entire holidays with nary a blog entry, which is a shame, because The Season was a good one, and now I feel it’s too late to talk about it.  Working at a media agency during Christmastime means that all of your vendors like to “remind” you that they appreciate your business, in the form of booze and outings and foodstuffs.  Very delightful.

Anyway, I headed home to Grand Rapids for Christmas and got to see a few friends that I missed terribly.  I used to be practically attached at the hip to these people and now I see them once a year.  I’m having a hard time dealing with that.  Everyone talks about how you distance yourself from your high school friends after graduation, but my friends and I were still pretty tight-knit as much as could be expected throughout college.  Now everyone’s scattered about in new and exciting places and starting new families and whatnot.

I rang in the New Year hopelessly drunk and playing Rock Band until 5am, so I think 2008 will be fabulous.
My 2006 was a pretty shitty year. My 2007 was half “meh” and half “pretty much amazing.”  Surely 2008 will be, er, “great.”

– Rocking out to The Future next Saturday in Bloomington.
– IU Basketball game w/ my Dad in Feb.
– Visiting Annie in San Francisco
– Being a bridesmaid for Jeezikah’s wedding
– Moving the fam to the Nappy Napolis
– Hopefully getting promoted (if they don’t fire me for my work-blogging)

And, in BIG BIG BIG NEWS – I will finally purchase my digital SLR camera, like maybe this week.  That means many random posts with photos of shit you don’t care about, and YOU WILL LOVE IT!
