I just discovered my elementary school has a webpage.
Um, first thing? They completely changed the uniforms. I know what you’re thinking - you public school kids — aren’t all private school plaids the same? You, with your splatter-painted jeans and No Fear t-shirts! NO! I can easily recognize my catholic school tartan out of a lineup, and that ain’t it. The new one is a lot cooler. Ours was an uber-chic polyester blend of grey, navy, and yellow. When we upgraded to the navy pants/white polo era of “middle school” (which was down the hall), my cousin ceremoniously threw her plaid jumper into a bonfire. It didn’t burn. It melted.
Sister Rosemary, who was the principal when I was there, is still there. She has to be 100 years old by now, and is no doubt still striking fear into the hearts of younguns. (I feel scared even typing that.) I really want to e-mail my eighth grade teacher, but I don’t know what I would say, like, “Hi, you always told me I should be a writer. Well, I blog for about ten readers, so. I’ve got that going for me.”
This, of course, immediately spurred on a Facebook/Google search of anybody from grade school whose name I can remember. There is a facebook group for my elementary school, but all the kids on it are graduating college in like, 2031. Psh. Kids.

Actually no, I think I am jealous that you were able to hold off on facebook searching your elementary school until now.
