Oh, American Cinema

Okay, so Kecia and I went to see No Reservations after work today, and whilst stuffing my face with popcorn and truffles, I watched some cute previews…namely…

Disney’s Enchanted

You know what would make this movie funnier? If Mel Brooks did it. I think you’d agree.

Enchanted looks pretty wacky. kind of like Elf, but i fear that those disney channel actors can’t sell it like Mr. Ferrell did.

No Reservations *was* cute! Nothing earth-shattering, but a well-done romantic comedy nontheless.

Come to think of it, Enchanted is totally Elf. My favorite part was when the princess was singing, and Patrick Dempsey is all, “Stop singing. Why are you singing?!” Hit close to home, I think.

    When are you moving?

I know, I almost cried during the August Rush trailer, so seeing it in the theatre will definitely involve a box of kleenex.

August 24 is my last day of work. I’ll probably leave Chicago the following Sunday or Monday.
