I wanted to post this a week ago and LiveJournal is so totally worthless.
…I was at the Michigan Homestead this past weekend for my cousin Allory’s wedding. If the weekend had a theme song, it would be “We are Family” by Sister Sledge, because there was much family-togetherness, in the best possible way. Or maybe “Celebrate!” by Kool and the Gang, because my dad actually danced to it at the reception, and I have never seen my dad dance in my 23 years of life, and so that could be the pinnacle of the entire weekend.
Under the cut are some photos at the reception, taken by my cousin Katie’s boyfriend Neall. (Interesting fact: Katie and Neall met while working at Best Buy. Who does that?! Seriously.) Some are doctored with Photoshop by me, not because they needed it, but because I can’t help myself.
In a public setting, Damon always has to prove how he is every gay man’s dream by deep throating a glass. After nearly two years I have never stopped to ask why.
Damon took this one of me dancing with my cousins Erin and Melissa.
Erin and her boyfriend, Ben.
Apparently she and I got the “Most Entertaining” awards for the night.
“Hey! Put your headband down like Jordi from Star Trek!”
Yeah. Great idea.
Candid moment. Also, felt compelled to post this, as my rack looks glorious.
I realized my family (including my parents, aunts and uncles, and various relatives that haven’t seen me since I was four) haven’t really seen me since I was four) in a drinking/dancing setting. Commenting on Damon and me dancing, my parents said, “You kind of just use him more as a prop, don’t you?”
Yeah, I do.
There’s Neall! And Katie. And Erin. Pretty much summing up the reception.
Super cute shot of Katie and I! This is one for the mantle.
You know, if I had a mantle.
(Sorry Kate, had to post it) Towards the end of the night, they catered with YESTERDOGS.
Most brilliant idea to come to wedding receptions, ever.

your hair also looked glorious! and so do your eyes in the black and white picture.
Do you think Damon got enough attention as a child?
