Reason #9238423 Why I Need a Dog

One day, when I was super bored, I made Corona a profile on Catster.
I did this mainly to make Damon laugh.

He mentioned that Catster is for the few crazy cat ladies that have the internet.  The next day, “Corona” got three messages asking for “her paws in friendship.”  I just accepted but then noticed that Corona now had 17 friends - from only three owners.  Including cats that are not alive. And a cat named Punkin’ Pooh.

Sunday, I did the WalkAmerica thing with some co-workers, who brought along their dogs.  You know how some women get “wedding fever” or “baby fever”? Yeah, I don’t get that. I do, however, get dog envy.  Damon came home to me reading a book called What Dog?  A guide to help new owners select the right breed for their lifestyle. “Danielle brought in her golden retriever puppy to the store today,” he said. “It was pretty much the cutest thing ever. I want a dog.”

I was raised with labs and retrievers, so that is honestly the only dog I have experience with.  However, we need something more apartment-friendly, which means something medium sized.  I am starting to sell Damon on corgis because I think it would be perfect for our lifestyle.

Ah! My eyes! The cuteness!

you have to decide on either the welsh or the pembroke corgi though.. i think the difference is in the tail and the ears really…

Adorable yes, good for your lifestyle…no!!! They are the crankyiest dogs ever. Corgis are for 70 year old women who are allergic to cats and need some sort of campanion….Try a french bulldog :)

I LOVE CORGIS! I actually want one, too.
Delilah’s has two adorable, longhaired dachsunds right not that I am in love with. And they have little pudgy bellies. :)

Oh, and is it weird that I kind of want to make a catster profile for my kitties? And do they have ones for dogs? My sister made a myspace page for her cat(http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=122642895)
And if you think Punkin’ Pooh is a weird name… My other sister’s cat is Charles Pee-Wee Potter of Pitty Patty…

French bulldog is also in our pool of possibilities. But did you have a bad corgi experience or what? Geez, bitterness, lol.

They do have one for dogs, I think it’s just called Dogster. Make a profile for your cats, and then totally friend it up.

You need to help me sell Damon on the corgi, because he’s still convinced they look really weird because of their short legs!
