Hi Friends!

On May 6th, I am walking to save babies. I know! Despite all my ramblings about how I hate babies and children, I will still support their chances to get a healthy start in life. I will be walking on May 6th in the March of Dimes Walkamerica here in Bloomington, and I have a personal goal to raise a hundred bucks.

Premature birth can happen to any pregnant woman, and no one knows why.The March of Dimes is in the midst of a multi-year, multimillion-dollar campaign to address this growing problem. With your support, the March of Dimes can continue to fund research and programs to prevent premature birth and other threats to babies’ health.  Funding goes directly to research to find the causes of premature birth and how it can be prevented, to support families whose babies must spend time in neonatal intensive care units and to provide women with the latest information on having a healthy pregnancy.

I was not a premie, but my mom was. 
And if she wasn’t here, well, I wouldn’t be either.
