The Best Buy debacle ironed itself out quite nicely with a nice talking-to from my general manager. [wha happon]? It was a big communication problem, apparently, so my freak out was somewhat appropriate with the information I had, but now that I know the story, I feel like a total drama queen. Which I am. So I guess nothing was gained out of this. Oh! Except gained respect for our new GM. He’s pretty much awesome.
I’ve mentioned before that I won’t be working for Best Buy as of August. Some of you have asked where I will be, and I’ve avoided answering you. That’s because I have no idea where I will be in August. I just know I won’t be in Bloomington. And I guess I have some idea.
Plan A: Move to Indianapolis. Ideally, have a job in place before I get there. Ideally, a job in my chosen field. I might just temp until said job opportunity arrives. Oh, and get a dog. I really want a dog.
Plan B: Apply to a myriad of jobs across our great nation. Ask, “Any takers?” Move.
Plan C: Affix world map to wall. Apply blindfold. Step back ten paces. Throw dart. Move.
That’s how far I’ve gotten.

I wish Joe had taken over for Bobby. John was nice but Joe is probably a fan-fucking-tastic GM.

Joe is great. I never really had any problems with John, but he was also the GM that I would occasionally get drunk with, you know? Joe is definitely more of a papa bear figure, in the best possible way.
