On this, the day of my dentist appointment, I received a letter that stated that my Lithuanian dentist no longer works at Gentle Dentist.
Boo.Anyway. As I had feared, I was advised to have my bottom two wisdom teeth extracted.  Luckily, they have not yet sprouted roots, so if I get it taken care of relatively quickly, it shouldn’t be so bad.  After wrapping up the medical explanations, the dentist looked me dead in the eye and said,

“Now, do you need anything for the pain?”

…And my eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas. He followed up by asking if I’ve used narcotics before, what worked, etc. etc.  I —  in a moment of utter stupidity – told the truth, that I had never been on pain medication, only OTC.  He suggested I stick with tylenol for the time being unless the pain becomes unbearable. Argh! I blew my chances of recreational pill usage!  The truth was, I didn’t need prescription pain medication, and that was exactly the reason that I wanted pain medication!  Ah, to be hopped up on vicadin right now! Le sigh…

Afterward I headed over to Kroger to pick up some groceries.  Due to people stocking their pantries in prep for this big winter storm, it was packed.  Jesus, people were preparing for Armageddon.

Oh. Speaking of music, I actually played a bit of guitar today. Damon has this new electric guitar now that he’s been fiddling around with so I thought I’d see what I could do.  I learned Rufus Wainwright’s Go or Go Ahead. Kind of.  I learned the chords and I can pretend that I’m rocking out like it’s going out of style.
