Things About Which I Am Embarrassed I
I am really, really excited about the new season of American Idol.

My Picks Thus Far…

Katherine McPhee, 21.

Because she’s talented, but mainly because she reminds me of myself.
Hello, narcissism? Speaking.

Ace Young, 25

Because ninety percent of the population would probably have his babies.
Mark my words, Ace will be in the final three.

Taylor Hicks, 29

Because he channels Ray Charles everytime he opens his mouth.
He won’t win but he will be a favorite, and I say HELLS YES.

Things About Which I Am Embarrassed II
I get sick very, very rarely.  I finally caught a mere common cold and I desperately want to be babied. Most of all, I am hoping that I get sick enough to call in sick to work/get sent home from work for infecting customers.

Things About Which I am Embarrassed III
I ran into a co-worker at Marsh Supermarket wearing red Reebox, capri pajama bottoms, and a  full-lenth tweed coat.
In my basket was this puzzling combo of items: DayQuil, tampons, and lox.

I really wanted sushi but they didn’t have the spicy rolls I was craving.  I walked around in a cold-induced haze until I realized that all I could think about was salmon and some kind of spreadable cheese on a baguette.  I was obsessed; I could not rest until I got it.  [It was great, by the way.]

Things About Which I Am Not Embarrassed I
Today, I fell in love with the White Stripes.  Again.  I was listening to Get Behind Me Satan and I decided that Jack White’s vocal delivery exemplifies the kind of Cool that I will never, ever be.

Things About Which I Am Not Embarrassed II
A huge group of Best Buy employees saw a very talented Chad Jordan (aka ) in his band Northbound at Kilroy’s tonight. I glanced around the room at the people who had gathered in support and realized that I really do adore the people I work with.  Then I made some comment to Melanie () that we are like the cast of Ally McBeal when they would all meet at a local bar and watch Vonda Shepard perform.  And that comparison alone might be the reason Chad never speaks to me again.

Damon and I celebrated V-Day (which makes me chuckle having read ’s comment ) on Sunday in Indianapolis, or as I call it, the Nappy Nappolis.

Saturday I was woken up in the middle of the night by eighteen (!) roses [which I would later put in a vase I bought at the Salvation Army for 51 cents]!  Sunday morning we met up with his family for lunch at Champp’s before heading over to Conseco Fieldshouse for my first professional basketball game, EVER: Pacers vs. Spurs.  [They lost. But I had a blast.] Then it was over to the famous Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for a spectacular ribeye, medium rare. Then we caught King Kong at Hollywood Bar & Filmworks, which is this really sweet place where they serve you drinks and food while you watch your movie. And the icing on the big friggin’ V-Day cake was staying at the Radisson with THE most gorgeous view of the downtown circle.

Damon gets 2394837423 Boyfriend Points for the most stellar Valentine’s Day ever, bringing his grand total to: 3492834723981729384712634981327691374.

  • Are you kidding me?

    ONE post?

You’ve let us all down, Jenn.

  • Yeah, I’m really sure that Taylor Hicks is 29. It’s more like the 13th celebration of his 29th birthday. He probably won’t be around much longer, once Simon finds out.

  • Ace is one of my picks too!!!
More thank likely because he has a kind of Constantine Maroulis thing going on [Idol '05].

Also, hooray for good V-Day’s and boyfriend points!!! Tom definately racked some up between the surprise visit for the weekend and the pink roses delivered on Tuesday:-). Yay boys!
