Working the overnight shift, you get the drunks calling in every once and a while…
It’s nearing 5 am and I get a call from this lady who’s trying to tell me that her friend is turning 40, can I please play Touch of Grey by the Dead?
A hippie can’t deny a Dead request. As I was playing it, I was imagining them drunkenly dancing and singing along.
Immediately after the song ends, I get another call.
“I just turned 40, and that totally made my birthday,” the gentleman caller said. “We were dancing around the living room, and everything…”
I don’t know why, but it’s mornings like these that make this job worth it, sometimes…

I finally got my jenn-post fix!
I don’t know where you’ve been for the last few days, but you hadn’t posted and I was getting antsy. lol I love the way you write, so um yeah… this is starting to sound weird.
Anyway,I think I was a drunken person calling you this weekend, too. Don’t quite remember.

Haha, Post Fix? It’s like the Post Fairy puked ALL over my LiveJournal. I was on a roll!
Yeah, I got some random calls this weekend. Next time around just scream, “JENN! PLAY *insert request here*”. Even if I’m not working.
