Yeah, the whole JOB SEARCH thing?

Can we be done with it?
Because I think I’m done with it.
If both my jobs,
put together,
were personified –
They’d be that Boyfriend that you know really isn’t right for you, but you stay with him because it’s just so damn comfortable.
The times I go into work hating my job is very few. (Hard to believe, given a few posts ago, but it’s true, I swear.) Work at the station is a cakewalk if you can handle the hours. Work at the Buy is like working with a nice little gaggle of friends (not to mention a certain guy I’m gung-ho crazy for). <– (that’s totally a phrase that would be in Cosmo. Sorry guys. I can do better than that.) But the word UNDER-UTILIZED cannot be emphasized enough, in both instances. I’ve finally gotten over the OH-MY-GOD-I-HAVEN’T-FOUND-A-JOB-YET-AHHHH-ness. I’ve exhaled. But I just haven’t really found the right path to go, from here.
I’ve applied to a bunch of jobs, and people RESPONDED! For INTERVIEWS! But when I inquire more about the position in question, I’ve weighed the options, and I always feel the need to hold out for something better.
My cover letter is beginning to sound so canned, I think I will revise it to say something like,
————————————————-
“To Whom It May Concern:
Hi. I’m Jenn. I know I’m fresh outta college, but listen…
I know some shit.
I’ve attached my resume for your review, but to save you time: Degree, scholarship, internship, yada yada blah blah.
I seek the truth. I like my steak medium rare. And chances are, whatever you say to me will trigger a song in my head.
If you’d like to pay me for writing in my blog, that’d be okay, too.
Sincerely,
Jenn.”

I couldn’t have said it any better…
I wish when you graduated, IU just said “Hi Abbie, this is your job. It’s a gift from us since we took all your money the past 4 years. ENJOY!”
Ahhh, that would be amazing
