If you would have presented me with James Blunt a few years ago, I would have eaten him up with a spoon. Who wouldn’t, though. Any girl who wouldn’t be suckered into a brooding British singer-songwriter is fooling herself. But there’s just something the sound of his voice about You’re Beautiful that’s just so…egh. That, and the song sucks.
But tonight, when he performed on SNL, he was disarmingly sweet. Even though his material is ridiculously simplistic, he really stood behind it. He sucks you in, like he’s an old lover of yours who wrote a song for you.
He’s so damn pouty. He looks like a grown-up version of that pouty kid from The Others.

I find You’re Beautiful very redundant, but his song.. “Goodbye, My Lover” is pretty okay.

Yeah, that’s the other one he performed tonight!
“And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I’m asleep.
And I will bear my soul in time,
When I’m kneeling at your feet.”
You gotta admit, that’s some good shit, right there..
