Once again, justifying Facebook.

So I decided I was going to hit up Blockbuster tonight, maybe grab a bottle of KJ* and get mildly toasted, alone. But what to rent? I’ve been known to wander video stores aimlessly for ridiculously long periods of time.  I needed a plan.

So I turned to the Devil Facebook.  What would my “friends” suggest?

With 167 “friends” on a list, you need to be selective.  You choose to check out people who — if you were actually socializing with them in real life — could make good movie-picking decisions.  For example, Adam Stansifer?  Great movie taste.  “AC Slater”? Not so much.

One things for sure, though, people.  You ALL love Garden State.  Every fucking last one of you.

** KJ = abbrev. of Kendall Jackson, the best brand of Chardonnay under $15.  I thought this was common knowledge, but when I checked urbandictionary.com it was nowhere to be found.  Perhaps Annie and I made it up, and if we did, then huzzah.

If it makes you feel like your friends are a little bit less of clones–> I have yet to see Garden State.
Even though I know fully well I will love it/buy it/watch it repeatedly. I have rented the damn thing like 3 times. Every time = a failed attempt.

Thus, next time I want to watch this horribly overloved flick, I am just going to buy it. Because, ultimately, that’s what it would come to anyway.

You’ll like Garden State, I know you will. It’s the quintessential twentysomething what-does-it-all-mean type of flick. Woot. Buying it will not be a waste of your time/money.
