Although I was always a daddy’s girl, father-daughter moments came few and far between after adolescence. We went on the college hunt, just him and me, in high school. When I started working at the engineering firm, we had a lot to talk about; we could bitch about work. Now, in my new transition, we’ve been exchanging e-mails just about daily. This one dated him SO much that I just had to document it….
(Note: Dad is a huge Jethro Tull fan, and Mom and I have mocked him incessantly about it.)

Just thought I’d let you know that we covered Jethro Tull in rock history class the other day. What freaks THOSE guys were. In my efforts to rebel, I tried my hardest not to like it, but I must admit that it’s pretty good.
Also, we covered the Allman Brothers the other day - didn’t you like them too? Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers…I felt like I was in college in 1970.
Have a great day at work and Rock On, AquaLung, Rock On.

Yes-from your dad who once was “Thick as a Brick”. (No sexual connotations to be considered) Now I’m “Sleeping by 10″ and “Flat as a Pancake”. Tull rocked when I was your age! I didn’t care too much for the Allman Brothers, but I definitely like(d) the sound of the Doobie Brothers. When I stated dating your mother, “Old Black Water” from the “Doobies” was the tune of the season on my hit parade.
Take care- and we will see you next week.
